Accent edge strip and an initials monogram instead of a photo.

Charcoal masthead, tab-style headings, warm accent.
Metro is a modern two-column resume template that opens with a charcoal masthead and a warm accent line beneath it. Section headings look like dark tabs, and a narrow right-hand column gathers your skills, languages, certificates and interests so the main column can concentrate on experience.

It works well for experienced professionals with a solid skill set to show at a glance: engineers, product and project managers, analysts and operations roles. The strong header gives the page presence, so it suits applications that go straight to a hiring manager.
The header spans the full width with your name, headline, contact details and an optional photo. Below it, the left column holds your profile, experience, education and projects; the right column, about a third of the width, lists skills with level bars, languages with their levels, certifications and interests.
Two-column layouts look tidy to people, but some applicant tracking systems (ATS) read columns out of order or skip the sidebar. When applying through a large job portal, repeat your key skills in your experience bullets, or use a single-column template for that application.
