Dark sidebar, strong hierarchy. The corporate classic.

Light name, ribbon rule bleeding off the margin, generous white space.
Ribbon pairs a light, thin name with a thick band of accent color that starts at the very edge of the paper and runs more than halfway across under your header. Wider margins and generous white space make the page feel calm and considered.

It suits professionals who want a polished, understated look with some character: consultants, communications and marketing managers, HR business partners, product and program managers, architects. As it relies on space rather than ornament, it works best for focused one- or two-page resumes.
Your name sits in a light weight above a headline in spaced accent-colored capitals and contact details with icons. The ribbon closes the header, with the optional photo on the right where it ends. A hairline separates the main column, with dates in gray italics, from the narrow right column, where skills appear as words underlined in the accent color.
The ribbon and underlines are drawn by the page style, so applicant tracking systems (ATS) only see your text. Watch the two-column body instead: some systems mix up the columns or skip the narrow one. Repeat main skills in your experience bullets, or choose a single-column template for large portals.
